Easter weekend took it out of me, and we have a busy few weeks ahead of us including our little B turning 3, so I am phoning it in this week with a quick shoe post. Who doesn’t love sandal weather? Read on for some great updates to your Spring shoe selection — all under $100. Continue reading “Spring Shoes under $100”
My Mom and I haven’t taken a girls’ trip in years but we more than made up for it in New York last weekend. We had a blast, and we wouldn’t have changed a single thing (except for maybe having some more time). Read on for my thoughts on our weekend.
This photo is almost two years old, but it is the most recent photo I have of myself with B in a non-maternity bathing suit since I was super pregnant with C all last summer. Other than a brief weekend in South Beach (see prior post), I haven’t worn much non-maternity swimwear over the past couple of years.
Needless to say, I am in dire need of some swimwear updates. I’ve tried on countless swimsuits and feel like I’ve finally got a few I can be excited about wearing this pool season. Read on for some swimwear shopping tips and for my picks for this season.
I am finally within a few pounds of my pre-baby #2 weight, so I recently went shopping for new workout gear to keep me from looking frumpy now that some of my gear is too big. Plus – is there anything more motivating than new workout gear? Mama now needs some motivation to get her to pre-baby #1 weight.
I was pleasantly surprised by all of the goodies out there right now. My exercise of choice lately is FlyWheel and walking (or should I say double stroller pushing?), and all of the items I’ve included in this post have been working out great. I plan on picking Barre3 back up in the Fall, and I am sure these would all work great for that too.
I am not a “pink” girl — you know the type where everything has to be pink (including the furry steering wheel cover and bedazzled”princess” key chain). But I am really in to the color pink lately. Maybe it is because I have two little girls, or maybe it is because it is February. Regardless, I am embracing the color and excited to add a few pink pieces to my wardrobe.
I am a firm believer that everyone has at least one shade of pink (from the palest of pink to the deepest of magenta) that flatters their complexion. Read on for some fun pink options to help you transition from Winter in to Spring.
Ladies — I’ve seriously found the world’s best strappy sandal! And just in time for wedding season! It is equal parts flattering, comfortable, versatile and stylish. And, with a 3 1/4 inch heel, it gives you just enough height. Continue reading “The World’s Best Strappy Sandal”
There is something about this cold weather that makes you want to stay in your pajamas just a little longer — especially on the weekends. I am actually writing this in my pajamas while my husband chases B around the neighborhood on a scooter and C is taking her morning nap.
I am in desperate need of updating my fall shoes. Back during my lawyer days, I had shoe shelves upon shoe shelves of fancy pumps and the occasional weekend shoe or boot. Now, my needs have completely reversed.
Postpartum clothes should be a category all to themselves. Maternity clothes just don’t cut it in the postpartum period – mostly because you are no longer pregnant but also because they are made to emphasize the one thing you are ready to disguise — the bump (except now it is a pooch), and regular clothes (at least for most of us mortals) just don’t fit right away. And to top it all off, if you are breastfeeding, your postpartum wardrobe must provide easy access. This is a tall order for a category of clothes that doesn’t even exist.
So what are we left with? Well, for most of us, it is some hybrid of the maternity clothes that don’t make us feel pregnant, stretchy work-out clothes even though we aren’t doing much working out in the first few weeks (does pushing the double stroller around at a 3.0 pace count?), and maybe some regular clothes that don’t emphasize said regions in a size or two up from our pre-pregnancy size.
